This Weekend: Step Away From Everything Else and Come Back to Each Other

Couple traveling to Dickinson Ranch in Southern Utah for the September 4–6 Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop weekend.

In two days, couples will begin arriving at Dickinson Ranch in Southern Utah.

They'll bring overnight bags. They'll leave work behind for a few days. They'll settle into their rooms and rustic cabins, look out across the quiet Utah landscape, and begin a weekend that they've deliberately set aside for one thing:

Each other.

If you've been following along, reading about the Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop, thinking about whether it might be right for the two of you, there is still time to stop wondering.

There is still time to come.

What Would Happen If You Stepped Away for Three Days?

Most couples don't intentionally neglect their relationships.

Life simply gets crowded.

Work follows us home. Children need us. Parents need us. Phones are always within reach. There is another appointment, another bill, another project, another thing that needs to be handled before we finally have time for each other.

Except that "finally" has a funny way of never arriving.

That's part of what makes a weekend away different.

You aren't trying to squeeze an important conversation between dinner and bedtime. You aren't attempting to reconnect while simultaneously answering emails or figuring out what needs to happen tomorrow.

For three days, you've made the decision that your relationship gets some uninterrupted space.

This Isn't About Having a Perfect Relationship

You don't need to arrive at Dickinson Ranch with everything figured out.

And you don't need to arrive with a relationship that's falling apart, either.

Hold Me Tight® is an educational relationship program developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and based on Emotionally Focused Therapy. Workshops typically combine instruction and video examples with structured conversations and exercises that couples work through privately together.

The purpose isn't to decide who's right and who's wrong.

It's to begin understanding the patterns that can pull two people apart and to practice a different way of reaching for one another.

And perhaps most importantly, you don't have to tell a room full of strangers the private details of your relationship. The meaningful couple conversations happen between you and your partner.

Your Weekend at Dickinson Ranch

The September 4–6 Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop has been designed as more than a series of workshop sessions.

Your registration includes both partners for the full three-day experience.

You'll have rustic lodging on-site at Dickinson Ranch, meals during the weekend, and the opportunity to step away from your normal routine and spend these days together.

Rachel Christensen, LCSW, will facilitate the Hold Me Tight® workshop sessions, including discussions, videos, and private partner exercises.

And woven into the weekend will be special experiences with Zosha from Sound Will Heal, including traditional tea ceremonies and sound healing.

  • It's learning.
  • It's talking.
  • It's listening.
  • It's slowing down.

And it's time together without quite so much of the rest of the world competing for your attention.

Friday, You Arrive

You can arrive Friday and get settled before the weekend officially begins.

At 5:30 PM, Zosha will welcome the group with a traditional tea ceremony, followed by the first Hold Me Tight® workshop session with Rachel from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Saturday gives you a full day of breakfast, tea ceremony, workshop sessions and time devoted to your relationship, followed by a sound healing experience with Zosha.

On Sunday, you'll continue the experience with breakfast, lunch, another tea ceremony and the final Hold Me Tight® workshop sessions, followed by dinner and an evening sound healing session.

Then you'll pack your things and head home.

But perhaps you'll take home more than you brought with you.

Come Back to Each Other

Maybe you'll leave understanding something about your partner that you hadn't understood before.

Maybe you'll recognize a pattern that the two of you have been repeating for years.

Maybe you'll discover a better way to say what you actually need instead of hoping the other person somehow figures it out.

Or maybe you'll simply remember how good it feels to sit beside the person you love with nowhere else you're supposed to be.

Relationships are built in thousands of ordinary moments.

But every once in a while, it can be powerful to create an extraordinary one.

This can be yours.

In Two Days, the Weekend Begins

The Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop begins Friday, September 4, 2026, at Dickinson Ranch near Cedar City, Utah.

If you've been thinking about coming, you've reached the moment when thinking has to become a decision.

You don't need another article about it.

You don't need another week to think about whether spending intentional time together would be good for your relationship.

You simply have to decide:

Do we want this weekend to belong to us?

If the answer is yes, there's still time.

Step away from everything else. Come back to each other.
